Crashes and Locksups
Make sure all your device drivers are up to date (especially your video card) and try running these prerequisites from Microsoft:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
Then try deleting your killingfloor/system folder and verifying your game cache in Steam -
